Citation :
Your chickens name is your player name with a ~in front of it to make it easier to identify yourself. If you go LD during a session you will have to start over. Lets say you start session one, you complete it and start session two. In session two you go linkdead. Now you have to restart session two. The quest can be taken at level one, so any of your characters who are out of the newbie zone can start it. The first few sessions are very quick (less than half an hour) the latter sessions are very long and will take players a good amount of time to finish. A player will be able to 'finish' the unbounded final session, but it is repeatable. The last session will take a significant amount of time. All of the quests have a timer on them. Because of the nature of sessions if you go link dead your session is lost, this may change in the future. If it does we will be sure to announce it. Chicken play has a separate chat channel and chicken players will not be able to speak with regular players. You will also not be able to fellowship with chicken players. Book 10 will only be adding Rangers and Trolls for the Ettenmoors and Chickens for Eriador You are a level one chicken, the world is a dangerous place! Although you don't have many hit points and your attack is very weak we did give you a few skills to help you in your travels. Chicken play was treated more like a quest arc. We slowly introduce you to the world through a series of sessions each with their own objectives. After completing all of the session 'quests' you are given a special session that is more relaxed in its objectives and repeatable. Can we lay eggs?Sadly, no Can I walk up to my kinship members in the world and peck their feet while they quest? You are in the same world as other players. You will not be able to attack other players and they cannot attack you. Your completion of each session is tracked on your regular character via quests. You will not be able to carry over any items collected in session play onto your regular character. We can give you rewards for completing a session (and we do) because of the fact that the sessions are a part of a quest. Also, all of the sessions occur in the game world, not just the last one! Chicken Play starts off from a quest bestower. The quest is located in a level appropriate area that already has a few chickens in it. No, chickens can not group up, but in theory if a group of players wanted to play together as chickens they could. Also remember, chickens are level one. While they do have some skills to help them survive, it is much more likely to come across a pile of dead chickens than chickens around a pile of dead monsters. You are playing as roosters (not hens) The rewards are usable only by your main character. I have a question about the rewards. Will they be comparable to the main characters level? The rewards are cosmetic Session play does not use destiny points to advance your character at all. Because the sessions are non persistent you would have to use DP every time you started a session. The final session costs DP to play, but you have a good number of deeds to accomplish that will give you DP. Can we have chicken emotes!?! We didn't add this and it is a little too lat to request the tech Can you mention any other session characters besides chickens (not counting PVP) or are chickens the only ones planned so far? Chicken Session players are currently our only non PvP session players. You can not play as the Hobnanigans chicken, even if Patience really really wants you to. Chicken players can only use/talk to specific NPC's and items. You can only use the doors that were specifically set to allow chicken players to use them, you can only talk to specific NPCs that have roles for chicken play. So a chicken player can never take part in a game of hobnanigans. If your asking if the player can hit a session player with the Hobnanigans stick, the answer is no. Significant developer resources were not put toward chicken play. Chicken play is a very small part of the content coming with Book 10. There is no need to cry ‘the sky is falling’ just because we chose to release a small bit of fun information about something that we are adding with our Book 10 update. Content Team Devs who worked on Chicken Play: 1 Other members of the dev team devoted to Chicken Play: 0 Trust me, if I worked on crafting/social clothing/anything besides content related stuff you would be more unhappy with it... chicken play wasn't even MY focus for this milestone, try to not get your feathers ruffled over it. I was trying to get the point across that significant resources were not spent on chicken play. We didn't have a team of systems designers who could have been working on something else on chicken play. There were bugs that needed to be fixed, there will be with anything new, but significant time was not spent on CP that could have been used elsewhere to flesh out a new system or add new things to the game. **EDIT** Chicken play will last you much longer than an hour, especially the repeatable unbounded session. Animals in Middle-earth can talk, they have their own languages. You will get to talk to a few famous animals in Middle-earth. Sorry, no chicken classes. Can we at least run over the court and confuse the hell out of actual players? yes, I guess you could, though you will be a rooster and not a chicken |

Ceci dit je n'ai aucune idée de ce que mange un elfe
![]() Pour le sujet, je suis un peu dubitatif sur l'intérêt, à long terme, de jouer un poulet, mais bon on ne sait pas grand-chose. |
