Update 23.2 Bullroarer Release Notes

Bullroarer has been updated to build 2302.0060.7978.1841. The player database has been wiped with this deployment.

This update contains the new Anvil of Winterstith Raid, class updates for Beorning and Burglar, bug fixes and more! Please keep in mind that this update is still in development and this does not reflect the final state of the game. This list of changes and known issues is not meant to cover every change or issue in the game, but if you find something notable we omitted from the lists please let me know and I will add it. Please post feedback for class updates and the raid to the appropriate threads and feel free to use this thread for feedback on everything else.

Classes:

  • Beorning - Normalized All Beorning skills to standardized progressions.
  • Beorning - Now earn the ability to wear Heavy armor as of level 15.
  • Beorning - Old Beorning armor sets have been converted to heavy armor statistically. (all appearances unchanged).
  • Beorning - Level 116-120 Beorning armor has been converted to heavy, most lower level Beorning specific armor is otherwise unchanged.
  • Beorning - Hearten cooldown increased (14->30).
  • Beorning - Now learn 'Wanderlust' - the ability to use their bear form for out of combat travel - at level 75.
  • Beorning - Yellow line 'In the Face Of' trait replaced with 'Overbearing'. This trait now grants a separate combat rez skill with a shorter induction, that does not replace the peaceful version of Bear Up.
  • Beorning - Rez should now work consistently in combat.
  • Beorning - Shake Free bubble now provides 10% morale bubble (15% at rank 2).
  • Burglar - Reveal Weakness Cooldown reduced from 5s->2s.
  • Burglar - Find Footing ONLY performs a CC break. Cooldown reduced to 120s ; Combat State breakouts for other classes have a much shorter cooldown. The Burglar needed its skill aligned, but for balance purposes we had to remove the bonus application of the "Touch and Go" effect.
  • Burglar - Touch and Go: Restores 50% Morale, +25% Evade Chance, +15% Physical Mitigation, +15% Tactical Mitigation. Duration reduced to 10s ; Evade is not as helpful as direct mitigation in instances and raids, so we wanted to balance out some of the defensive bonuses. We also upped the heal from 25% of Max Morale to 50% because Burglar's medium armour makes them susceptible to big hits.
  • Burglar - Debuff Duration from Burglar Skill "All In" reduced from 15s --> 10s.
  • Burglar - Yellow Line Trait Opportunism damage increased.
  • Burglar - "Reveal Weakness" Imbued Legacy now caps at 7.5% at Rank 64. This legacy has become overgrown, and for the sake of Instance and Raid balance it needs to be trimmed back some.
  • Burglar - Skill "Reveal Weakness" now stacks 2 times instead of up to 3 times.
  • Burglar - Skill "Reveal Weakness" now debuffs target Finesse, Critical Defence, and Resistance as part of the base skill.
  • Burglar - The Gambler Set Bonus "Reveal Weakness" now increases its namesake skill's Finesse Debuff by 50%.
  • Burglar - The Quiet Knife Set Bonus "Reveal Weakness" now increases its namesake skill's Critical Defence Debuff by 50%.
  • Burglar - The Mischief-maker Set Bonus "Reveal Weakness" now increases its namesake skill's Resistance Debuff by 50%.
  • Burglar - Imbued Legacy "Reveal Weakness Incoming Damage" now enhances Reveal Weakness debuff ratings for Critical Defence, Resistance, and Finesse starting at rank 65.
  • Burglar - skill damage and DoT damage increased. With reveal weakness decreasing in potency, Burglar damage needed to increase to compensate.
  • Guardian - Flash of Light damage moved to a normalized progression.
  • Minstrel - Skill "Gift of the Hammerhand" now grants a bubble equal to 10% of the target's maximum morale before bonuses.
  • Minstrel - Skill "Legend of Helm Hammerhand" now grants a bubble equal to 10% of the targets' maximum morale before bonuses.
  • Minstrel - Skill "Story of the HammerHand" now grants a bubble equal to 10% of the target's maximum morale before bonuses.



Quests and Adventure Areas:

  • Grounded floating objects in Carn Dum.
  • Added stable deco around Saeradan's steed in Breeland.
  • Players can no longer pass through the thrones in Thikil-gundu (creatures still can).
  • To prevent a variety of stuck locations going down the cliff at Ceber Dúath in Lhingris, players will suffer defeat instead upon jumping off the cliff.
  • Ered Mithrin - For those who have completed the Thornholt quest chain, Radagast has an additional quest to the Rushgate. For those who have not yet played the Thornholt quest chain, the Rushgate quest will unlock towards the end of the Thornholt quest chain now.
  • Withered Heath Resource Instance - There are now campfires at various points along the path. May they provide warmth and light the way.
  • 'Instance: A Restful Night' - Bingo will no longer build his campfire in the middle of a very flammable bush.
  • Text fixes for 'Chapter 7.2: A Damaging Song'.
  • 'Instance: A Venomous Strike' can now be more reliably completed.
  • New playable landscape added to Western Foothills of Angmar.
  • Portions of Western Foothills of Angmar have been given a visual update.
  • Cleaned up terrain ramp in Troll Valley in northern Trollshaws.
  • Grounded floating chest in Lonelands Half-Orc ruins.
  • Cleared bushes around Toki Whitebeard in Trollshaws.
  • Grounded floating Trolls in the Trollshaws.
  • Grounded floating fences in Fornost.
  • Fixed ceiling far terrain issue in Ram Duath.
  • Endgame daily quests (Wanted Pebbles) now award 5 Longbeard Tokens, up from 2.
  • The endgame weekly quest Reclaiming the Grey (Final) now awards 50 Longbeard tokens, up from 20.
  • Fixed Stuck Spot in Lhingris.
  • Moved mixed spawns in Vale of Thrain off the cliff.
  • Fixed terrain seam in Horsefields.
  • Fixed stuck spot in Annuminas.
  • Fixed random shrub in the wall of the Combe and Waddle.
  • Thikil-gundu - Frór will no longer become inactive and block progress through the space if someone is standing near the geode when he resets.
  • hikil-gundu - The locked door to Afhân-binnîn will no longer fail to open once the trash in Amrâg-zahar is defeated.
  • 'A Matter of Feed' - Drop rate of boar heads increased to 100%.
  • 'Shadow of the White Hand' - the readable notes now appear in the quest tracker and not just in inventory.
  • Quest Guide updated for Black Book Chapter 5.3, 'Whispers from the Long Years'.
  • 'Eyes to the West' quest now has an expanded area for the final /look area.
  • 'Intro: A Plea for Aid' - the readable note now appears in the quest tracker and not just in inventory.
  • A number of hobbits had invisible dresses throughout the Shire, and they have been supplied with better threads.
  • Some Higher Level fire drakelings will no longer burn themselves.
  • Caverns of Thrumfall Tier 3 and Meta Deeds can now be properly completed.
  • Moved inaccessible resource nodes in Old Forest.
  • Vantage point in "A Trap for the Creature" is no longer obstructed by bushes.
  • Fixed stuck spot in Old Forest.
  • Fixed stuck spot in Rivendell.
  • Fixed stair placement issue in Thikil-gundu.
  • Fixed radar issue in Eastern Malenhad.
  • Orcs and Angmarim are no longer perched on top of tents in Skathmur (Ram Duath).
  • Bushes have been cleared from the paths to Elrond's Stables in Rivendell.
  • Grounded floating rocks in Brandyhills.
  • Grounded floating bush in Combe.
  • Fixed cliff texture issue in Buckland.
  • Fixed Port-on-Login issue between Dale-lands and Ered Mithrin.
  • Updated Helegrod to have a 1st pass T2 & T3 difficulty levels (statistical only).
  • Some of the Orcs at the Cirith Nur Encampment did not count for 'Dirty Work: Orc-slaying,' but now they will.
  • Removed floating frill in Bree-town.
  • Grounded floating trees in Far Chetwood.
  • Adjusted placement of horse corpse in Minas Agor.
  • Bank Patron in Bree-town no longer falls through her chair.
  • Fixed physics issues on wormholes in Dum Boha.
  • Quest: Purifying the Mirkwood - plants will no longer sparkle if you cannot interact with them.
  • NPC stuck in column in Minas Tirith is no longer stuck in column.
  • Tree is no longer growing through crafting hall in Combe.
  • Encroaching reeds cleared from near house in Bree-land Homesteads.
  • The mushrooms for 'Bounty: Soggy Mushroom Mash' were not despawning properly when used.
  • In order to prevent players from getting stuck, Rinwald in Hytbold now requires you to rebuild the Mead Hall before he will take your Hytbold Tokens.
  • The Mead Hall in Stoke had some incorrect NPC phasing for 'Celebration of Victory,' and it has now been corrected.
  • In the quest instance The Madness of Vanyalos, Vanyalos remains an NPC all the way through. Hopefully this will prevent the instance from occasionally entering a stuck state.
  • Angmar Rift Now has Tier 2 & Tier 3 difficulty mods available.
    • These mods are purely statistical. They do not add new skills/content or challenge modes to the Rift.
    • They now use updated progressions to determine defense penetration values.
    • They use base multipliers to increase enemy ratings such as critical bonuses, defense, etc.
    • The tier bonus effect descriptions have been cleaned up.
    • Dwarf Holds instances also use the newly updated tier effects so we can test them at either end of the scale.


Items:

  • The buff for Warden Set Bonus "Fire At Will" has been refreshed to give a competitive ratings buff.
  • Thikil-gundu now drops incomparable weapons instead of rare weapons on T3 difficulty.
  • The Imbued Legendary Item level cap has been increased. There are another five additional levels for Legacies. Three of these can be unlocked and two of these are granted for free.
  • Level 51 - 54 gear that creates at the level of a character or instance space has been adjusted so that it will have more appropriate stat values. These pieces will also all create at item level 51.
  • Dwarf-holds Rewards Quartermasters have new cosmetic items to be traded for your Coins of Grárik.
  • Crafted Bassoons will now display a bassoon in /music mode instead of a fiddle.
  • The 'Forgotten Box Vendor' has been introduced to Lalia's market to allow players to purchase the older obsolete lockboxes.
  • Angmar Gearing update:
    • Many level 40-50 items obtained from Angmar content have had their base stats improved to the approximate equivalent of similar Helegrod gear which had a more favorable itemization budget.
    • Many of the somewhat odd stats on these items have been retained, but as a rule all armor pieces have been updated so they at least grant a portion of their appropriate main stat and/or some vitality to make them more usable by their intended classes.
    • These pieces have NOT been fully modernized, so they rarely feature stats like finesse that are common later in the game.


UI:

  • The chest lock panel now lists information in sortable columns and updates automatically when chest locks are applied or modified.
  • The Social Panel tab "Group Stage Info" has been renamed to "Raid Locks".
  • The "Raid Locks" sub tab "Staging Info" has been renamed to "Group Locks Info".
  • Item examination tooltips now show what items disenchant into when applicable.



Misc:

  • Advanced Graphics Options - Frill Terrain Color: There is a new graphics option to apply terrain color to frills to better blend them to the underlying terrain. Turning this option off may increase performance.
  • The `/music` command now takes optional parameters. Use `on`, or `true` to enter music mode. Use `off` or `false` to exit music mode.
  • Fixed links to Ered Mithrin, Erebor, Steel Keep, Glimmerdeep, Iron Hills, and Northern Mirkwood.
  • Loading performance improvements have been made to all Collections panels.
  • Monster damage scaling tweaks (particularly DoT).
  • A new effect will appear on chests that will generate favoured loot.



Known Issues:

  • Anvil of Winterstith - Retreat point moves outside of the Anvil too early, will prevent people from getting back to Hrimil if they enter Phase 2 and wipe.
  • Anvil of Winterstith - You cannot advance in the Progress Quest for Tier 1 past Thirteen Kings.
  • Anvil of Winterstith - Tier 1 monsters enhancements are incorrectly labeled as Tier 2
  • Anvil of Winterstith - Karazgar is not animating while he is saddled on Vethug.
  • Anvil of Winterstith - The chest spawns for the Karazgar encounter on Tier 1 and 2 are reversed.
  • Crafting and Itemization work is still in progress, so you may encounter bugs and placeholders.
  • Beorning class work is still in progress and there are still bugs to address.

Bon je viens de me recréer un compte JoL vu que je n'ai plus accès à mon (très) vieux compte.

Je n'ai pas très bien compris une ligne :

Est-ce que ça implique également un réajustement vers le haut des items craftés ? Je pense par exemple à la bijouterie de niveau 50 qui est, il faut le dire, bien dégueu.

Sur le papier, les mises à jour du cambrio me font un peu peur.
Gros nerf de la Révélation de Faiblesse
Gros nerf de l'Equilibre (le gain de moral et le boost d'esquive étaient bien sympa)
Je sais pas trop quoi penser de l'évol de l'esquive (10s, c'est super court en fait, et je ne sais pas si les buffs ajoutés compensent vraiment la diminution du temps)
Quant au gain de DPS brut... ben on va attendre de juger sur pièces, hein, parce que les derniers gains de DPS, j'ai pas trop souvenir les avoir sentis...

En vrai, ce qu'ils ont fait pour l'équilibre et sur un fil, je trouve ca vraiment correct, ca me dérange pas plus que ca de plus avoir le 25% pv et le 30sec d'esquive. Et sur un fil va enfin pouvoir servir un peu en raid, même si c'est juste 10sec ca peut permettre de tempo tellement avec le 50% de heal et la mitig en plus, en tout cas ca sera beaucoup plus utile que les 50% d'esquive pendant 30sec qui servent à rien parce que t'as l'impression que tous les mob en raid ont 1 million de finesse et que tu esquives rien.

Par contre oui pour le nerf de la révélation de faiblesse, ils ont intérêt à nous up notre dps parce que sinon ca sera vraiment pas worth, et surtout ca sera RIP le cambrio.

En tout cas à voir. Vivement la maj pour qu'on puisse tester ca.

Ils chient sur la senti et écoutent pas les joueurs. Tout le monde se fiche de la spé distance sur une senti, la spé la plus batarde de tout le jeu. Je pense qu'ils ont abandonné l'idée de l'équilibré. Le scalling des heal est foireux, bonus de mitigation sur un taunt AoE. Pas de nouveau gamblit depuis l'Isengard (je crois?). Suffirait d'ajouter quelques gamblit pour la rendre plus viable, changer quelques legs sur les armes imprégnées, certains traits dans la spé bleu a revoir, bonus d'esquive sur cri de guerre ou un autre bonus de merde sur persévérance... Et que t'as pas le choix de mettre 5 points là dedans...

Je crois que l'équilibrage de la sentinelle a déjà eu lieu non?

Et pour le dps, j'ai vu sur les parse du forum officiel, faut les anciens stuff avec les fix de plusation pour être opti donc des stuff complètement à la ramasse niveau stat.

General:
  • More Raid tweaks, fixes, and balance.
  • The Battle at Frostbluff Cloak & Hooded Battle at Frostbluff Cloak no longer have mixed up names.
  • The following woodworker recipes now correctly use a Piece of Thornholt Bark as the optional ingredient instead of Pure Ironfold Ore: Thorin's Clubs, Thorin's Crossbows, and Thorin's Hammers.
  • Boss From The Vaults: Storvâgûn - The Traitor's Loyalty - The emblem of loyalty is now automatically granted upon defeating Storvâgûn. You no longer need to loot him, and the quest should complete more consistently.


Beorning:
  • Aid the Assault now heals the Beorning using Relentless Maul
  • Yellow line Sacrifice buff will now last the proper 20 seconds.
  • Fix to bring encouraging roar's final effect down to intended levels when applied to a fellowship via the set bonus.
  • Movement speed buff from 'Wanderlust' should now override most/all other movement buffs.

General:
  • More Raid tweaks, fixes, and balance.
  • Class trait points have been capped at 92 points for now. Points over the cap can be earned, but not spent. Note, you can currently only earn 91 class trait points, so there will be no visible change.
  • Specialization Cap-stone traits (traits in the 7th and highest tier of each specialization tree) now require you to be in that specialization and at least level 45 in order to spend points to gain those particular traits.
  • Skirmishes: Weekly Raid quests are once again completable.
  • Added a resize handle to the NPC interaction panel.
  • Added a vertical resize handle to the Quest Log
  • Moria: The quest chain known to many as The Secret of the Council has returned to Moria. Find the map somewhere within Moria's depths to begin...
  • NPCs in the Three-farrow Crafting Hall and Bree-town Vault no longer fall through their chairs.
  • Placement issue with water volume in Withered Heath resolved.
  • Brush cleared from the Barrow of Taradan's entrance.
  • Stair placement in Thikil-gundu's library adjusted to allow for normal passage.
  • Undiscovered Stable-master vendor icons are no longer culled by Dynamic Particle Rendering settings.


Classes:
  • Beorning - Most Beorning melee skills now have 'hit' SFX.
  • Beorning - Grimbeorn's Spirit buff would stop working until relog/respec if the caster ever used it on themselves, as the buff was overwriting the effect that granted it. This has been fixed.
  • Lore-master - Legendary 'Brown Wizard' trait now grants a large general buff to summoned pets, rather than a +3 level mod - this mod stacks with all other pet buffs.
