In the first 10 levels of your character you will not be doing much in terms of skills. Most monsters can be killed with normal attacks easily without much injury to yourself. As with all casters your hit points will be alot lower than ranged or melee classes. To combat this fact you will be putting points into Endurance and Intellect, while getting Life Restore to keep your hit points up between potions.
level 01 Do nothing level 02 Do nothing level 03 Do nothing level 04 Do nothing level 05 Do nothing level 06 Put 1 point into Endurance, and Intellect level 07 Do nothing level 08 Put 1 point into Life Restore level 09 Put 1 Point into Endurance, and Intellect level 10 Do nothing After level 10 you will not have any use for any skills as of yet to save you time and probably cash reseting useless skills later. Testament will be one of your buffs that you will always keep, it gives you a nice boost which can be life saving. You will finish upgrading Intellect, Endurance, and Life Restore in this section also. These levels its nice to have a decent weapon since you will be using normal attacks. I suggest selling reinforcement potions you find to get extra cash for those weapons. You dont need to sell all of them because you will want to save them for later, besides at this level weapons are fairly cheap. level 11 Put 1 point into Life Restore level 12 Put 1 point into Endurance, and intellect level 13 Put 1 point into Testament level 14 Put 1 point into Life Restore level 15 Put 1 point into Endurance, and intellect level 16 Put 1 point into Testament level 17 Put 1 point into Life Restore level 18 Put 1 point into Endurance, and intellect level 19 Put 1 point into Testament level 20 Put 1 point into Life Restore Hopefully you will be using a staff because even though wands have a faster speed they have a lower higher damage and seem to have less accuracy. In this section you will start to AoE grind, which means area of effect. Until level 22 you will continue using normal attacks. once you do get your attack skills I suggest starting outside dungeons to get a feel for the movements. If you jump into a dungeon and start right away you may be dissappointed with your results. Mass Snare will be your primary skill to slow monsters but later you will reset it to get the better version called Wind Quake. level 21 Put 1 point into Power Staff level 22 Put 1 point into Testament, Hell Typhoon, and Mass Snare level 23 Do Nothing level 24 Put 1 point into Power Staff level 25 Put 1 point into Testament, Hell Typhoon, and Mass Snare level 26 Do Nothing level 27 Put 1 point into Power Staff level 28 Put 1 point into Mass Snare, Hell Typhoon, and Earthquake level 29 Reset Mass Snare and Life Restore, Put 1 point into Wind Quake level 30 Put 1 point into Power Staff In this section you will notice that Life Restore doesnt really make a differance while your AoE grinding. As well you will be resetting skills that have become weaker due to the higher level in favor of better skills. Even though Hell typhoon has done well up till now you will reset it to get Acid Rain. Acid Rain while only being rank 1 will out damage it so its only natural to get rid of it. Optimum will be another new skill in this section. It will reduce the cost of your spells, which means you can carry less mana potions then you normally would. level 31 Put 1 point into Earthquake, and Hell Typhoon level 32 Put 1 point into Wind Quake level 33 Put 1 point into Power Staff, and Optimum level 34 Reset Hell Typhoon, Put 1 point into Acid Rain, and Earthquake level 35 Put 1 point into Wind Quake level 36 Put 1 point into Optimum level 37 Put 1 point into Acid Rain, and Earthquake level 38 Put 1 point into Wind Quake level 39 Put 1 point into Optimum level 40 Put 1 point into Earthquake, and Acid Rain This is the section where you will be in a tough spot, mostly due to people in all the best grinding spots. You will not have much to do in terms of skills but you will have points left over. I suggest putting those points into Mana Sequence, PvP is widespread at these levels so having a single target high damage spell will be usefull. Alot of people completely reset to a more PvP friendly build but i suggest you stick to PvE while incorporating PvP into it since you will continue to PvE all the way to 99. level 41 Put 1 point into Wind Quake level 42 Put 1 point into Optimum level 43 Put 1 point into Acid Rain level 44 Do Nothing level 45 Put 1 point into Optimum level 46 Put 1 point into Soul Chaos, and Acid Rain level 47 Do Nothing level 48 Do Nothing level 49 Put 1 point into Soul Chaos level 50 No Nothing Hopefully this guide will help new sorcerers in there quest to become the best. This guide is not intended to be the last say in sorcerer builds because there is no perfect build. But if you follow this build you will save the most cash and still level at a fast pace. At level 50 currently this is the build I have: http://mmodata.org/archlord/db/?s=b...aO4caYYYOYfafaa Napalm Flame: 4/5 Earthquake: 5/5 Acid Rain: 5/5 Soul Chaos: 2/5 Power Staff: 5/5 Wind Quake: 5/5 Testament: 5/5 Mana Sequence: 4/5 Optimum: 5/5 Endurance: 5/5 Intellect: 5/5 Also i would like to say that you dont need 5 differant attacks. You only need 3, or 4 if your really pushing it. Single target spells are best used in duels and AoE will be useful in GvG, and PvE. Method of attack should be 1st attack, 2nd attack, 3rd attack, 1st attack all over again. If you keep your weapon nice and shiny you should be fine. |
