CIVIL WAR: PART 2
Tensions have reached a breaking point. Lines have been drawn, and it’s time to choose a side in the conflict over the Superhuman Registration Act!
The next step of the Civil War event in Marvel Heroes 2016 begins at 12:00 PM PDT, May 13th!
CHOOSE YOUR SIDE
After Crossbones’ devastating attack on Madripoor, action must be taken. The Superhuman Registration Act has been proposed, promising a safer future in an increasingly dangerous world. At what cost, though? The stakes are high, and you can no longer afford to sit on the sidelines - it’s time to take a stand for what you believe is right.
Upon completing the Crossbones Pursuit scenario and returning to a hub, you’ll be asked to choose your side:
Pro-Registration - Led by Iron Man, these heroes have come together in agreement that the Superhuman Registration Act is necessary to keep those with powers beyond that of a normal human in check. Personal responsibility is not enough when the entire world can be thrown into chaos by the actions of so few.
Anti-Registration - Led by Captain America, these heroes believe the Superhuman Registration Act will lead to a future where people fear superheroes, and puts the freedom and safety of those with superpowers at risk. The cost is simply too high, and will not lead to a better tomorrow.
Once you’ve chosen your side in the conflict, you’ll be transported to a hub area only those on your side can access. Informants have revealed that talks thus far have failed to garner full support for the Superhuman Registration Act, and some superheroes have been spotted gathering at a nearby airfield, with tensions reaching a boiling point…
After completing the
Airfield Showdown mission fighting for your side in the conflict, you will unlock a Cosmic version of the mission you can access during the Civil War event from the Challenges tab. You’ll also unlock Daily & Weekly Influence missions specific to either the Pro-Registration or Anti-Registration side. Additionally, you’ll be able to access a buff that allows additional Reputation Tokens to drop from enemies & bosses out in the world, allowing you to increase your Influence further, as well as Seals of Conflict. As your influence with either side increases, you will unlock more rewards at the vendor within your side’s hub area to spend Seals of Conflict on!
CIVIL WAR TOURNAMENT
For the next two weeks, a new Civil War Tournament will be running that puts the Pro-Registration and Anti-Registration sides head to head!
Individual leaderboards will be tracked for both the Pro-Registration and Anti-Registration sides, as well as an overall Civil War leaderboard showing which side of the conflict is showing their support the most! Many activities and missions will earn points towards these leaderboards:
Rescuing Civilians in Patrol Modes — 1 Point
Using Uncommon Team Reputation Tokens — 1 Point
Defeating Patrol Mode Bosses — 1 Point
Defeating Terminal Bosses — 1 Point
Using Rare Team Reputation Tokens — 2 Points
Defeating Cosmic Patrol Mode Bosses — 2 Points
Defeating Cosmic Terminal Bosses — 2 Points
Using Epic Team Reputation Tokens — 3 Points
Completing Legendary Quests — 3 Points
Defeating Disturbance Bounties— 3 Points
Completing Airfield Showdown — 3 Points
Using Cosmic Team Reputation Tokens — 4 Points
Using Unique Team Reputation Tokens — 5 Points
Completing Cosmic Airfield Showdown — 6 Points
Completing Civil War Daily Influence Missions — 10 Points
Completing Daily Shared Missions — 15 Points
Completing Age of Ultron — 15 Points
These leaderboards will run for 12 hours each, and will award players based on their participation for that period.
At the end of each week, the side of the Pro-Registration versus Anti-Registration conflict has earned more overall points will unlock a login reward for all players; should Pro-Registration win for the week a Team Iron Man Mystery Box will be awarded, and should Anti-Registration win a Team Captain America Mystery Box will be awarded! In the case of a tie… both Mystery Boxes will be awarded!

EVENT BONUSES
In addition to the event activities above, all heroes will earn 50% bonus XP for the entire week!
The following Civil War characters will gain an additional 100% bonus XP during the first phase of the Civil War event, which will end on May 19th!

HERO TUNING CHANGES
Emma Frost
Reduced Defense to damage ratio to 1 per 500 rating. Reduced passive Damage Reduction to 4%.
Spider-Man
Reduced Dodge to damage ratio to 1 per 250 rating. Reduced passive Damage Reduction to 4%.
Iron Fist
Reduced Thunder Kick (Tiger Stance) cooldown reduction to 2 seconds.
Loki
Arcane Ruin now gains 50% of Summoned Ally Damage as damage bonus.
Thor
Lightning Hammer damage reduced.
Rogue
All former "Attrition" powers (that is hotspot or DoT layers) now deal 15% less damage.
Additional reduction in damage to Teleportal, Wrath of Muspelheim, Swooping Flames, Crashing Hail, Solar Assault, Chaotic Hex.
Wrath of Muspelheim changed from Melee to Ranged.
Spider-Man passive Dodge to damage ratio reduced to 1 per 250 rating.
War Machine passive Spirit to damage ratio reduced to 150%.
Shifting Sands Stance attack speed multiplier reduced to 1.5% at rank 1.
MINOR CHANGES & BUG FIXES
Captain America Team-Up has a few minor tuning changes this week:
Airborne Assault cooldown changed to 10s.
Heroic Charge now correctly applies knockdown instead of vulnerability. Damage slightly reduced.
Heroic Dive damage changed to 225% of Heroic Charge's damage.
Fixed an issue with the protestors outside of Avengers Tower counting towards "rescuing civilians" for several achievements. It turns out that even with all their yelling that there wasn't a single one of them that really needed any rescuing. They have apologized for unnecessarily crying wolf.
Fixed the "infinite Fury for 5s when a nearby ally is defeated" effect on Wolverine's Old Man's Work Boots unique.
KNOWN ISSUES
When using the “OS Mouse Pointer” option, the in-game mouse cursor will not change icons when hovering over certain interactable objects. Until this is corrected in a future update, unchecking “OS Mouse Pointer” in the Gameplay tab will restore this functionality.
