Il est quand même bien con d'insister sur le format classique de paramétrages de touches. J'ai maté un replay vite fait, et j'ai bien pire que lui de ce que j'ai vu.
Suffit de rebind les touches de façon intelligente, de choisir une souris qui correspond bien et tout roule, pas besoin de se prendre la tête avec une trackball et un wtf stylo pour le clavier.

Je joue avec un pédalier et une souris pour clavier portable. Et c'est bieeeeeeen + simple que de lutter pour garder le format classique, quitte à mettre 5s avant d'appuyer sur une touche.

Bref, c'est dommage pour lui.

Il y a une discussion très intéressante sur comment se déroulent les tournois et comment ils sont perçus par les joueurs. Ocelote qui a initié le thread ici, le thread reddit est ici. Wickd a réagit aussi sur les deux sujets, pas mal de joueurs compétitifs l'ont fait aussi. J'ai bien aimé cette phrase d'Ocelote qui est je suis sûr plus que vraie :

OK Let me give you an official statement as I am working for Heaven Media and helped organize this tournament. I manage the Esports Heaven website and set up the tournament, at which point the admins take over and actually run the tournament.

When launching this tournament we specifically stated in the rules that player streams would be allowed up until the final 8 playoff bracket. Teams entering the competition should have known about this rule. You might ask yourself why is this rule in place? We are working for sponsors and partners and Heaven Media is a company that employs several people with the sole purpose of providing news, coverage, tournaments, etc and bringing cool creative campaigns to our users. There is one thing you need to remember from that and that is that we are a business.

We partnered up with KaosTV to provide high quality streaming, complete with commentary, graphical layovers and the option for us to run some adverts to show some love for the sponsors who are essentially paying for these tournaments. Afterwards, working together with this partner we can demonstrate value to the sponsor (in this case Medion and Intel) and continue doing these tournaments with them or even increasing the prize pool. We have access to a lot of stats and data and are capable of providing high quality adverts that can run throughout the competition.

Because we want to maximize exposure for the community, the decision was made to allow for player streams up until the final 8, because we know we cannot cover every game in the early stages of the tournament. Ocelote and the entire SK Gaming team agreed to this rule (as did all the other teams) but right before the match Ocelot decided they no longer supported this rule and wanted to keep player streams throughout the entire team or we would need to remove them. The decision was made by the admins (and I support it) to not make an exception for one player/team and simply remove SK Gaming from the brackets.

I'm willing to answer any questions people might have but perhaps this helps put it into perspective for you guys: The European Championship is coming up and all across the world TV stations are paying top dollar for the streaming rights for this tournament. This allows them to EXCLUSIVELY broadcast or stream the matches. Now imagine the German national team, or the Dutch national team were to go. Hmmm this is a cool tournament and we have a lot of fans who really like us. We will be streaming the games as well without any form of control for FIFA on the quality of the stream, the sponsors/partners promoted and who knows what else. If this was to be allowed it would immediately devaluate the broadcasting rights for the championship and FIFA would be left with no sponsor money to pay for staff, infrastructure and the tournament as a whole.

The same is true for us and for this tournament. Devaluating the KaosTV stream (and losing hundreds, if not thousands of viewers for the final games) would seriously hurt our capacity to run more of these. Trust me, we love the community and would love to do more and bigger tournaments, but a lot of people don't realise that there is a lot more to it then meets the eye.

"Concerns about revenue"
Someone answered this already, but I will say it again. If you have to present your sponsor some numbers and you show him and say "5k people watched our stream and the other 15k watched a player stream" the sponsor wont really care cause in the end 5k ppl watched yours and 15k watched the other stream. Its not really about revenue.

"Concerns about exposure"

This is kind of stupid, no offense. SK for example gets sponsored by SteelSeries if we would put a Razer overlay on our streams you can imagine what happens. Should be fairly obvious to everyone.

I dont know what tournaments youre watching but the tournaments that hit the frontpage of reddit are pretty nice to watch if you dont get fucked over by twitch.tv and I watch them whenever I have time for it. Seeing the whole map with commentary is way more enjoyable then seeing only 1 player and his POV but maybe thats just me.

The guys from kaosTV shoutcasted the Vengeance cup too and calling them "terrible unproven shoutcasters" is kinda harsh.

I feel like this whole thing is kinda lame and from what I experienced the streamers are just greedy and use this whole "The poor community has to be protected from those horrible tourneys with bad casters, bad stream quality and bad production value overall." to be able to not loose their 10k viewers.

Even though im in a team with Oce I disagree with him in this point wholeheartly. Saying that the casters are greedy is kinda ironic since they dont even make that much money. Its beyond me why you cant just accept the rules stop streaming, have a good time in the tourney and enjoy the good training against good teams, if its a low-prizepool tourney or optionally if its a high-prizepool tourney, shut down your ego and fight for the 1st place.
Also saying that pro teams could just decline the invitation or not register is stupid since, its good training for the players AND without new tourneys the esport scene wouldnt grow.

Il m'énerve Ocelote avec sa croisade contre les tournois qui empêchent le stream. CandyPanda a complètement raison dans son post, notamment quand il parle de mettre le logo des sponsor sur leur stream si eux sont sponso par un concurrent, il va faire une drôle de tête leur sponsor si son logo est remplacé par celui d'un concurrent ou alors le viewer si jamais le stream est inondé de logo

D'ailleurs Ocelote doit être l'un des seuls streamer concerné par ça vu son nombre de viewer, 99% des autres pro ne sont pas concernés. D'ailleurs a ma connaissance seuls TSM et ocelote se sont plaint de ces règles (Wickd apparemment est d'accord avec oce sur ce point) et bizarrement ce doivent être les seuls streamer avec un nombre suffisant de viewer pour avoir des revenus correct de leur stream.

Je suis d'accord avec lui sur certains points. Quand les shoutcasters sont pas capables d'offrir une meilleure qualité que les joueurs je suis en total désaccord avec l'idée d'interdire le streaming aux joueurs. Si la qualité est égale et/ou meilleure, comme le disait Candy, les viewers iront d'eux-mêmes voir les shoutcasters car c'est bien plus agréable avec les commentaires, le mode spectateur et la vision entière de la map.
