Cogmind.

http://www.gridsagegames.com/cogmind/buy.html

http://www.gridsagegames.com/forums/...hp?topic=599.0

Wow, it's been over half a year since the last newsletter! After last time, when Cogmind was heading through Greenlight, the plan was to go to Steam by May or so and the next newsletter would be then, but... I was injured pretty badly and most everything was put on hold for a while. The good news is, there's still been lots of progress since #9:

First of all, Cogmind was Greenlit. Pretty easily, really.

Second, while we didn't actually hit 1.0, we're pretty much there as the content and story are finished, seven endings and all . Back in May Beta 1 "The End" marked the start of a new era, one in which Cogmind is feature-complete but there's still a lot of fun stuff we could add, so why not?

With that Cogmind is now headed to Steam EA! The official launch is set for October 16th, 6pm PDT. Check out the Store/Coming Soon page for more info, and to wishlist it if you'd like to be notified by Steam. (I'll of course be posting my own announcements everywhere.)

Thanks everyone for your support so far, and I'm hoping when the time comes you'll review Cogmind on Steam to help convince prospective players that it's a project worth supporting! More support means more features

Spreading the word would be a great help as well!

Note that development is not currently paused at Beta 1. I've been releasing some updates including a smaller 1.1 and 1.2, a fairly large Beta 2, and a couple more Beta 2 content updates, the most recent of which being this week. The next update will not arrive until after the Steam release, though, when I'll probably start working on a built-in achievement system.
