T'inquiètes pas, il y aura aussi des versions collector en Europe même si pour moi, il n'y a aucun bonus très utile dans cette edition collector. Je préfère créer l'uniforme de mon vaisseau et pas répliquer ceux de DS9 ou TNG. Pour le ComBadge, je ne suis pas fan à ce point là

I’m afraid the Borg Boff will NOT be customizable. They’ll have a look similar to Seven of Nine.

The EU has a different plan for special editions. They have different terminology and, in some cases, items. We’ll post that ASAP. I’ve got a list right now, but I’m waiting until I can get links to the various retailers.

Are the pre-orders etc all decided/finalised or are you still needing to find partners and select items for each country/zone?

I think everything is finalized now.

Like specifically I'd like it confirmed finally: Does the Borg BOff get special nanotechnology Augmentations or not? Theres been alot of conflicting information about What this Liberated Borg is and isnt. Personally Im hoping its alittle more then just a unique skin

More than a skin. The Boff will also possess special innate traits. Heck, let me give you the names: Borg Nanites, Neural Blast and Efficiency.

Alot of us are concerned as to whether we will get a "proper" collectors edition, i.e. like the one Gamestop in the US offers that is a physical "box set" with the art book, communicator and TNG/DS9 uniforms. Can you confirm if retailers here will receive this?

We’ll be posting a description of what the EU is doing, but yes, there is something special for the EU.

Yes, an EU retailer is getting the Constitution class ship.

The US preorder bonuses are being distributed throughout retailers in the EU and the UK.

Also, clarification about Joined Trills has been a big topic here. Are trills only available from the DDE in general? Or there will be Standard Playable Trills in the game, just joined trills are unique to the DDE?

There will be playable trills in game, BUT the DDE Joined Trills possess special innate traits (see Borg above) that are exclusive to them.

I do have a question about whether the current retail page will be updated to detail the european pre-orders to the same extent of clarity that the US pre-orders are currently enjoying. The Play.com information is pretty vague and non-descript, and it would be extremely helpful to know exactly what we're paying for.

Also, are we going to be getting the Collectors Edition at all? If not, is there any chance of putting the badge into the European equivilent (Play's Silver Box seems to be the closest...)? The only difference is that a “Joined Trill” will have special innate traits and probably costume piece(s).

No, it’s probably Engineering (not quite 100% sure, but really close)

I was just wondering about the Digital Deluxe Edition, and how we go about getting it. Do I just purchase it through Atari, and then I receive the special code(s) via e-mail?

You can purchase it through various online retailers (Steam, D2D, et. al.) and Atari.

IE this specail borg BOff, can we obtaining other borg BOff's ingame with the same traits as the pre-order version? Will 2 or more pre-order bonuses and or subscription times combine with one account? What is the borg boff skill? Will pre-order bonuses work on more then one toon? (if we are able to have more then one toon pre account.

No, we won’t be selling these items as microtransactions (at least, right away). Yes, preorder bonuses DO stack…so you can buy multiple products and apply them to one account. Yes, bonuses do apply to more than one toon.

Also, if we purchase the DDE, will we be able to create a Joined Trill character during the headstart, or would we have to wait until Feb. 2nd?

Whenever you apply retail key. Most likely, you’ll be getting that Feb. 2nd.

Will EU get any headstart bonus by preordering or are we waiting for Feb 5 to get in?

They’re different codes. The pre-order ones get you into open beta and the head start. The retail keys provide the extra stuff.

No, unfortunately the items are connected to the retail key. So you couldn’t pass it on to someone else.

EU/UK and US are exclusive within their territories – meaning that some material (actually most) is shared between the two.

The NX prefix from the DDE: will that only get applied to one ship for one time or will we have the option for all of our ships as we go up in rank?

You’ll always have the ability.

And a silly question out of curiosity: How many skill points do we get from the Walmart Pre-order and if you were to pre-order, say two copies from Walmart, could you apply both pre-order codes to get double the points, if one were so inclined to do so?

500 Skill points. No, the points only apply at once (though I appreciate the thought…we had a debate internally, “you know, we could sell a lot of extra copies this way…”)

Looking at the 'retail' page and the newly listed pre-order offers for the UK; no sign of the collectors edition available in the US. Any word on if that particular collectors edition is going to be available this side of the water? The items offered in that package are rather desirable and if possible, I'd rather avoid having to ship it internationally with customs fees and courier charges.

I know some games have pre-order bonuses, Age of Conan with the special snow mammoth mount; but after launch they turn it into a if you buy you get this too! Free! What I mean is are these pre-order bonuses stickily for pre-orders, or will they be available either through microtransaction or just buying the game in general after launch?

For the forseeable future, these items are ONLY available from purchasing the game.

It is a ship you get very, very early on.

Can we please get a confirmed listing of the contients of the Collectors Edition from Best Buy and Game Stop. Can these be pre-orderd? Will they include the key codes for open Beta?

The collector’s edition is the same for each (see http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/sto/default.aspx for example)). BUT the Gamestop edition will also come with the Gamestop bonus (Constitution class) and the Best Buy will come with its bonus (tribble and targ pets).

Yes, you get it early, but you’ll be flying it for hours (20ish?)

If I preorder this game from walmart I won't be able to get the game on the day of release(maybe like day 4 or later Ill be able to get it). Will I still be able to play in the meantime using some sort of patched beta?

Typically, we have a grace period to allow for this.

Yes, different online retailers are offering the digital deluxe. No, the special items will NOT be available during the headstart (the items are attached to the retail key, NOT the preorder key).

I would simply like to know if there will be a physical collectors edition with the same physical and ingame bonuses the US gets available in the UK and EU. I'm not too bothered about pre-order bonuses just the actual box itself as I have not seen a confirmed advertisment for the CE anywhere in the EU yet (there are some with strange names like "special edition" or "enhanced silver edition")

I can tell you that things aren’t the same between the US and the EU/UK.

The TNG uniforms will be in the game at launch. The DS9 and TOS are exclusive offers.

I thought of a question no one has asked. How does the Headstart and Bonus Items work? Will we be able to get our bonus items during the head start? Some doesnt matter so much but something like the Joined Trill would make the head start almost worthless if we had to wait till release for the joined trill to unlock.

No, they won’t be available at head start. The retailers want to make sure that you go out and purchase your game…so they like the items tied to the actual game, rather than the preorder. So you don’t get those items until you’ve picked up the game itself (Feb. 2nd).

You should get a preorder code and that's what you'll use to get into Open Beta and Head start. Head Start is the 29th, however, not the 27th.

The pre-order Bonus items, i.e. shields, rifles, armor. Are those end game tiered or are they replaced before the commander rank.

Les deux seuls trucs vraiment intéressant à première vue, c'est le BO Borg et peut-être le pet s'il est plus que décoratif. Le reste, ça reste assez limité.

Le familier sera décoratif.
Il y a quand même un ou deux autres trucs qui semblent intéressant en dehors du Borg... Le Trill avec des talents supplémentaires, une arme unique, le bouclier régénérant...
Bref, que de choix, j'espère qu'on aura droit à une version collector digne de celle des US... à suivre...

peut etre un jour, ne serait ce que par la boutique en ligne... mais comme mis plus haut, ils vont s'arranger pour que les bonus restent collector quelques temps...

Ils ont dit quelque part que les bonus seraient exclusifs et qu'on ne pourrait pas les avoir de façon normale au cours du jeu (j'ai la flemme de chercher, mais c'est dans le forum off).

Mais depuis quelques temps, je me méfie de leurs déclarations. Ce BO borg ne pourra pas être obtenu, mais ils peuvent tout à fait en proposer autre un avec un look différent dans une mission ^^
