En l'absence de TL shadowblade (et ça se comprend ), un joueur US s'est chargé de consulter les autres joueurs pour établer un rapport non officiel, qui a été envoyé à Mythic par le TL infiltrator.

Shadowblade 1.70 Unofficial Report

Spec Line Issues

Envenom:

- Many SBs feel an imbalance with the way the str/con debuff (enervating) line of poisons works.

By debuffing the opponent's str, it lowers their weaponskill. Due to dex not being debuffed, str/dex weapon users are less affected (lose less weapon skill) when struck with this debuff. Since shadowblades do not have access to str/dex based weapons, whereas our counterparts (infiltrators and nightshades) do, it creates a disadvantage for the shadowblade class. It has been suggested that the strength debuff component of this poison instead debuff weaponskill directly.

Critical Stikes:

-There is no benefit to using two handed weapons when performing hidden strikes styles such as PA or Backstab, other than the extra base damage, which is minor in comparison to the style damage of these styles. It is felt that using slow, two handed weapons should provide a larger increase in damage when performing these styles.

Left Axe:

- Due to the way left axe works, it is extremely penalizing to leave it at a low spec level and attempt to dual wield two weapons.

Left axe brings your base damage on both hands down to 62.5% of normal base damage, and restores 0.34% of this damage back for each spec level. In order to do good mainhand damage, left axe must be specced very high. The other realm's dual wielding specs only determine the chance for the offhand to swing. This creates a problem for shadowblades of being unable to leave left axe low, as our counterparts are able to do with their respective dual wielding specializations. Since shadowblades are forced to spec left axe higher to be able to dual wield two weapons effectively, this limits our flexibility with regards to other speclines. A change in left axe mechanics would serve greatly to improve the shadowblade class.

-Offhand weaponskill is determined by left axe spec. It should be determined by main weapon spec (sword or axe, whichever you have specced highest), as it is in other realms.

-Left axe lacks any positional styles or positional chains with effects such as a snare or a stun, which are available in all other dual wielding specializations.

Style Issues

-Doubler, the level 4 left axe style, is redundant. It is a rear positional that does lower damage than snowsquall, and has nothing chaining from it. It could perhaps be improved and have its requirement changed to side positional.

-Parry reactional styles in the sword, axe, and left axe speclines ( cleave, reinforcement, and polar light, respectively) and their corresponding chains are not useable by shadowblades.

-The level 50 left axe style, Aurora Borealis, is for shadowblades reactional to your target parrying your attack. Because of the difficulty of using a style with this type of requirement, it is considered not very useful, despite doing good damage.

Realm Ability Issues

Shadow Strike:
-This ability often fails after teleporting you to the target. If the target is moving when the 10 second timer completes, it is very likely that you will receive a "target is out of view" or a "target is too far away to attack" message.
-Even when it functions correctly, this ability is not seen as very useful, as a target that stays within range for the necessary 10 seconds can generally be PA'd sooner without using this RA.

Vanish:
-In some instances, NPC guards are not properly losing agro when vanish is used.

Item Issues

-The slowest legendary one handed axe weapon is 3.7 (arcanium pyroclasmic/benthic/etc double bladed axe). This is considered too fast to be an effective mainhand weapon for a shadowblade. The addition of slower (4.0 or 4.1) speed one handed legendary axes would be appreciated.

-The only useable offhand legendary axes are 2.6 speed. Options of crafting slower offhand useable legendary weapons would be helpful.

- Leather is the only armor type in the game that has a 15% vulnerability to any damage type (heat).

Documentation Issues

-The delve description for mastery of stealth states that having your own mastery of stealth cancels the detection bonus that enemies receive when attempting to detect you with their own mastery of stealth. This is incorrect, mastery of stealth does not work in this way, and the delve description should be changed.

Other Issues
-It is felt that the 5% extra hitpoints of shadowblades are not a comparable advantage to the 453 extra spec points, or 2.5x spec instead of 2.2x spec, of our Albion counterpart, the infiltrator.

Due to shadowblades being a primarily solo class and infiltrators being one of our main enemies, this difference is a significant issue. 2.5x spec allows an assasin to be at the same time competent in direct melee, critical strikes, and poisons, while 2.2x spec is not sufficient to achieve this. Shadowblades would like something more significant than 5% extra hitpoints as our class unique advantage. An increase in the hp advantage, or a slight boost to shadowblade weapon skill (as was done for hunters and warriors some time ago), or something else along those lines would help to alleviate this problem.

-Shadowblades are the only offensive class in the game whose only available weapon specializations are based entirely on a tertiary stat (str). Due to this, shadowblades generally have lower weapon skill than our counterparts are able to achieve with equivalent spec. This is especially problematic for kobold shadowblades, who have inherently low strength. Making str our primary attribute instead of dex would fix this. Another option would be the introduction of new weapons (in addition to the pure str ones that exist now) into the existing spec lines (sword and/or axe) that use both str and dex to calculate weapon skill.
