Un serveur actuellement en alpha que je suis depuis quelques temps, dans les grosses lignes :

-XP 1-10 classique
-XP 10-35 dans le même BG avec un système de scaling à la Warhammer ROR
-Pas de zone SI ou autres mais le stuff serait à priori du SI avec facilités pour l'acquérir
-Map RvR OF "revamped", actuellement ils ont réussi à mettre des forts NF (mais semblant plus petit?) à la place des vieux forts et d'autres ajouts seront fait
-Une sorte d' AutoHotKey/Reshade intégré

C'est prévu pour que le serveur soit viable à 500 joueurs (plus facile sur OF) même si perso j'espère qu'on sera d'avantage.

J'ai toujours cru cela impossible d'implémenter les châteaux NF sur une map OF... comme quoi, j'avais tort Et c'était typiquement ce dont je rêvais, car le plus gros défaut de OF reste ses forts trop petits et archaïques dans le design... C'est une incroyable nouvelle que de possiblement voir ça arriver.

Entre ça et l'invasion de Royaume d'Eden, ça fait rêver.

Oui aussi c'est ce que j'ai toujours entendu, que les forts OF sont intégrés à la map et ne sont pas des objets comme NF, donc ça a toujours été considéré comme "impossible" ou que ça demanderai trop de boulot.. et voilà qu'ils l'ont fait!

The wait is finally over..
After over a year of development the @Blackthorn Team is proud & excited to announce our new & final Alpha test phase, which puts us one step closer to Beta and Launch.

As of writing, we will close the server to prepare for this new phase in the coming days.


THE SERVER WILL OFFICIALLY OPEN AGAIN ON vendredi 31 janvier 2025 19:00!


We have come a very long way since our original closed Alpha test back in August 2023.
The team has grown.
The server has been upgraded.
Our features have been expanded and revised and many new systems have been added.
The gameworld has been populated by hand with mobs and new custom loot.
Old Frontiers has been transformed with newly added Keeps and Terrain Changes, especially in Pennine Mountains.
A new Quest system has been created.
Classes & RAs have been further adjusted.

In short, we are indeed getting very close to the long awaited Beta phase.

But before that, we want to unleash you guys on the server so that we can be fully ready for what is to come.


How can you help?
Spread the word among your DAoC friends!
Test your favorite classes and Old RAs.
Test the new Bounty Point Bonus system.
Test our remastered Old Frontiers, Dynamic Home Realm Porting and our new Keeps.
Test Crafting and our new Pattern system.
Test our Auto-grouping system.
Test our Dynamic Input system.
Test playing without Reshade active, especially during nighttime.


In the coming days we will be releasing several videos that highlight many of the new features above. Stay tuned for those.

Tweaked 1.65 classes & Old RAs, ready to be playtested and finetuned,
Loads of new and updated original classic loot,
Classic 75/75 Templating with additional endgame progression options,
Custom buff potions designed for ease of use & buff balance,
Unique custom progression & QoL systems,
Revamped crafting: item enhancement & XP for crafting items,
Custom Blackthorn UI elements that improve and integrate gameplay,
Dynamically scaling RvR porting,

Why do we need a Beta?

A DAoC freeshard can only have one real official launch and we are aware of the fact that we can't afford to screw it up by cutting corners.

Blackthorn is aiming to provide a fresh Classic experience. This means a lot of work has been put into revamping and improving large game systems. All these elements work together to form the full gameplay experience.

We need Beta to allow players to test so we can make adjustments and improvements where necessary.

In short, we need your help to deliver the Classic experience DAoC has always deserved when we finally launch the server somewhere in 2026.




Lastly, we would like to thank all our players for supporting our vision for all this time and we hope this is just the beginning of even more amazing memories together!
