La saison 6 de Gold Rush a commencé, d'autres JOLiens suivent cette télé réalité ultra cool peuplée de badass au vocabulaire chatié ?

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas, il s'agit d'un télé réalité qui suit le quotidien de 3 équipes de mineurs durant la saison de 6 mois ou il est possible d'exploiter des concessions dans le Klondike au Canada.



Les équipes suivies ont changé durant les 6 saisons, celle-ci portera sur ces 3 la.

La famille Hoffman (Un peu les loser de l'émission) :

BACKGROUND: Aviation Business

HOMETOWN: Sandy, OR

Todd Hoffman came up with his plan to mine for gold in Alaska in 2010 after watching the steady decline of his aviation business in Oregon. While the economy stalled, he watched the price of gold rise and rise. Inspired by his father Jack's own gold mining adventures back in the 1980s, which ended in failure, Todd sourced a viable gold claim and then assembled a team of his unemployed buddies and the equipment they would need to start a full-scale mining operation.

With a strong belief in God and the American dream, Todd initially led his team to success. For three seasons he steadily accumulated mining know-how, sharpened his unique skill for deal making, and welcomed new members to his crew. Todd then took a massive risk: he staked all his earnings on a mining operation in Guyana, South America. On arrival, Todd found claim jumpers had illegally poached all the gold from the mine he had leased. It was then one disaster after another, as Todd searched for viable ground, and the Hoffman crew came home empty handed.

After the disastrous season in the jungle Todd managed to rally his team last year and rose from the ashes smashing their 1000oz goal to bring home 1349oz. This season Todd wants to go big, he wants to bring in more gold than ever before to finally reward his team for their years of loyalty. Perhaps Todd's biggest challenge this year will be striking a balance between bringing home big gold and a desire to spend more time with his family, and be a better husband and father.

Parker Schnable (le jeune rageux ambitieux) :

BACKGROUND:Gold Miner

AGE: 21

HOMETOWN: Haines, AK

Gold fever is in Parker's blood. Ever since he can remember, Parker's beloved Grandpa Schnabel has been running the family gold mine, Big Nugget. Since Parker's feet could reach the pedals, he's been operating heavy machinery and learning the trade.

At just 16 years old Parker took the reins of the Schnabel family mine, and showed he had the mettle to lead a team of grizzled miners twice his age, and the ability to find serious gold.

Instead of going to college, Parker used his college fund to set-up his own mining operation, and found an impressive 1029 oz of gold in his rookie season in the Klondike.

Parker pushed his crew to breaking point last season to smash his season goal and bring in over 2500oz of gold. This season he needs to assemble a new crew and repair broken relationships. Can Parker prove himself as a leader and bring in big gold for a third season, and can he do it all without losing his loyal crew?

Tony Beets (Le vieux riche)

BACKGROUND: Farming, Construction

HOMETOWN: Dawson City, Yukon Territory via Wijdenes, Netherlands

Tony Beets is legendary in the Klondike for his gold finding skills and his colorful language. Before Tony came to Dawson City in 1984 from the province of Friesland in Holland, he made ends meet by milking cows and working in pipeline construction.

Tony is a hard-nosed businessman who now runs an enormous gold mine near Dawson City called Paradise Hill. In the off-season Tony and his family live in Arizona.

Tony was first featured in series two, where he advised greenhorn Todd Hoffman that the secret to successful gold mining was to drill test holes. Tony reappeared in season four when he leased land to Parker Schnabel, and mentored him through his rookie season of gold mining in the Klondike.

A force to be reckoned with, this year Tony has an audacious plan to resurrect a 75-year-old gold-mining dredge and drag it clanking and screeching into the 21st century. Tony has spent one million dollars buying the dredge and believes it has the potential to mine up to $1.5m in gold in just one season. That is, if he can get it to work.

Je ne connaissais pas, on m'a fait découvrir récemment et honnêtement j'ai adoré la S05 et S06, donc au pire ça peut faire découvrir la série à d'autres.

Puis c'est cool d'apprendre plein de trucs sur la géologie, les engins de chantier et le terrassement à travers les petites vidéos interactives durant les épisodes pour expliquer ce qu'il se passe. (Bon c'est loin d'être utile pour ma vie de tous les jours par contre )

Puis voir Tony Beets se faire cockblock par sa femme > all.

Attention je ne critique pas, je suis fan de toutes les merdes produites par Discovery et History, des émissions survivalistes aux émissions sur l'Alaska (même celle avec les routiers et j'ai pas honte).

Néanmoins, même si ces shows sont produits comme des séries, je ne sais pas si il y a vraiment quelque chose à en dire. J'ai toujours pensé que ça se regardait en solitaire, comme un plaisir coupable.

marrant ce topic, suis tombé par hasard sur la serie sur rmc decouverte y a 15j quand je glandais at home (ca passe les samedi soir), et je dois dire que ca m a bien fait rigoler. J ai d ailleurs basculé dessus ce samedi quand j en ai eu marre de voir la france se faire rouler dessus par les blacks

En fait, la plupart des émissions Discovery sont de gros clichés. Si je prends celles que je regarde habituellement comme Adjugé vendu, Obscura, Americars, Pool/Bar/Car/Cabane master ... c'est toujours bon enfant, ils font toujours des bénéfices/finissent à temps à la fin.

Genre adjugé vendu ils achètent toujours des boxs avec un trésor dedans sans jamais vraiment le voir avant l'achat (le seul épisode ou ils perdent de l'argent c'est pour faire genre ça crée une dispute). Il y a jamais aucune explication techniques et c'est jamais très crédible.

Ici Gold Rush c'est ultra complet. Tu as ceux qui gagnent mais aussi ceux qui perdent. (jungle gold avec les deux ex marines qui se faisaient entuber par tout le monde et qui se faisaient tirer dessus par les chinois en Afrique était épique)

On t'explique les détails techniques, on t'explique tout du début à la fin de la saison d'exploitation. Ils montrent les côtés positifs comme négatifs de chacun des "héros".

Donc voila c'est plus mieux, mangez-en !
