Operation Omega

Join your fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. recruits for omega level loot, bosses, leveling and more!
  • During Operation Omega, the first time you complete a Shared Quest each day will reward double Omega Orb rewards.
  • Omega Level Buffs!: XP, RIF, and SIF start at +24% and increase by 24% every day.
  • Omega leveling is 24% faster during Operation Omega. This works well with the Omega-Level buffs to experience.
  • Agent Coulson offers a mission during Operation Omega week. Each day, you can complete five or more waves in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Holo-Sim to receive a reward from him. This will help hone your skills to be prepared for Omega-Level threats.
  • During the event, any enemy can drop a powerful artifact called The Omega Drive.
  • Omega-Level Boosts Return - pair this with our server-wide boost for even greater returns!
Achievements
  • Hulk's "Hulk Is Smartest One There Is?!" can now be completed in Story Mode or Green/Red/Cosmic A.I.M. Weapon Facility Terminals.
  • Fixed an issue where Bo Vault was not always properly counting enemy defeats in Gambit's "Tango Till They're Sore" achievement.
  • Fixed an issue which would sometimes cause cut-off text for completed Achievement objectives with very long names
  • Fixed an issue where chests in Cosmic Terminals were not counting towards Deadpool's "Rated Arrrrrrrr!" achievement.
Patrol Zones
  • Players can now switch heroes in Cosmic Patrol regions, provided the hero being switched to has also completed the Cosmic Trial.
  • Fixed an issue where if you passed the Cosmic Trial and then prestiged, you would be able to see the Cosmic patrols but not enter them. Correct behavior is that you should not see them on your waypoint list until you reach level 60 on your prestiged character, at which point they will again appear on your waypoint list and you will be able to enter without having to complete the Cosmic Trial again.
  • Patrol Zones starting at level 30 have their challenge level slightly increased and innate server side SIF and RIF increased accordingly in those zones.
  • Increased the chance of boss specific uniques and artifacts in regular patrol zones.
  • Increased the chance of Fred Dawson’s Hot Dog Cart dropping in Midtown.
Other Bug Fixes & Changes
  • Stryker Command Bunker Terminals have been given a population density increase in order to ensure enough mobs exist for the Cosmic Bounty Hunter mission.
  • Fixed a bug with the Credits button on the Login Screen not properly playing all videos
  • Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause players using Vision or Emma Frost to be disconnected upon entering the game.
  • Fixed an issue where Ant-Man's Wings of the Wasp Unique was incorrectly granting ranks to the Equipment tree rather than his Ant Constructs tree.
  • Fixed an issue with Ant-Man’s signature power not gaining bonus damage from ranks in his Ultimate.
  • Fixed an issue where Jocasta's Holographic Image Inducer was using the wrong curve for Critical Damage Rating.
  • Fixed not being able to stack certain reward items, such as the S.H.I.E.L.D. Omega Training Daily Mission Reward.
  • Civilians at low levels should again survive and not be subject to being too easily defeated by enemies.
  • Fixed an issue where Emma Frost's White Silk Gauntlets were healing for the wrong amount. This has now been corrected.
  • Both Treasure Rooms in the first area of Norway will now have an equal chance to appear but only one will be present in each ‘instance’ of Norway.
  • Reset to Defaults in the Key Bindings tab of the Game Options should now be functioning correctly.
  • Fixed an issue with Emma Frost's Slot 3 that was causing it to display an incorrect roll range.
  • Fixed issue where A.R.M.O.R. Issues Nano-Poison and A.R.M.O.R Dimensional Power Portal Generator would sometimes appear on the vendor without empty Starktech Powercube Slots
  • Ultimate Upgrade Tokens granted as a reward for the A.R.M.O.R. Event weekly mission can now stack with other tokens.
  • Fixed an issue where Random Challenge Bonus tokens were not usable in their associated crafting recipes.
  • Day Runes can now be sold to vendors.
  • Omega Orb chests now stack once again.
  • Dr. Doom’s Classic Costume icon has been corrected.
The Tuning Corner

This week’s tuning corner focused on Unique item upgrades for two heroes and an array of power upgrades for Jean Grey.
  • Dr. Strange unique items have been upgraded to take advantage of the modern item budget.
  • Silver Surfer’s unique items have been upgraded to take advantage of the modern item budget.
  • Many Jean Grey powers and mechanics have been upgraded. See the dedicated Jean Grey section for all the details.
Next Week:
  • Further unique item upgrades for those heroes who’ve not received them.
  • Several power updates for Ant-Man.
  • Preparation for further tuning reviews and upgrades later in August.
Jean Grey

By popular demand, Dark Phoenix Form has been changed to affect every power, and not swap out the power bar. This makes point investments and itemization important for Phoenix players at all times during their rotation.
  • Dark Phoenix (Phoenix Form) no longer swaps out Jean's power bar on activation, but rather enhances most powers to have extra effects. Additionally, the power now spends all Phoenix Force, allowing the resource to be reacquired while the buff is active.
Neural Panic needed a more defined space in Jean's kit, so we've altered it to be a reliable, potent crowd control effect.
  • Neural Panic's effect is now unresistable, which makes it incredibly potent against bosses. This requires it to have a moderate cooldown. The damage component has been removed.
Phoenix had a bit of power bar space crunch from last week’s update. Mind Crush's additional effect made this power too mandatory in her rotations, and was the least impactful in terms of point value, so it was the best candidate to swap out.
  • Mind Crush (Phoenix Form) no longer provides vulnerability to Phoenix powers.
The players venturing into the Hybrid specialization noted some issues with the split damage types, so we've combined them into one buff, and offered a defensive benefit as well.
  • Powerful Harmony now provides all types of Damage Rating when Dark Phoenix is activated in Jean mode, and some extra health per second when activated in Phoenix Form.
Damage Tuning Changes
  • Telepathic Detection now increases Mental damage by a flat 10% at rank 1.
  • Damage increases for the following powers
    • Dark Phoenix (Jean Form)
    • Telekinetic Throw (both forms)
    • Kinetic Wave (Jean Form)
    • Psychokinetic Implosion (Phoenix Form)
    • Mind Crush (Phoenix Form)
  • Slight damage decrease for the following powers
    • Psychic Lethargy (both forms)
    • Kinetic Bolt (Jean Form)
Other Changes
  • Kinetic Wave (Jean Form) and Psychokinetic Implosion (Phoenix Form) now provide a short-duration damage absorption effect, which is visually represented by a slightly smaller version of a previously removed psionic shield visual.
  • Phoenix Drain (Phoenix Form) now deals 30% bonus damage against enemies affected by Psychic Lethargy instead of splitting that bonus between two DoT effects.
  • Unleash Phoenix's passive effect now provides Health on Hit rather than Health per Second
  • Phoenix Inferno now allows for up to 2 instances of the area to be active at a time.
  • Psychic Hammer is now tagged Area in Phoenix Form.
  • Telepathic Detection now provides Accuracy for all Jean builds. Omega-Level Mutant now provides the Power team buff.
  • Jean Grey’s Power Progression has been updated to reflect the changes from this week and last week’s patches
  • Phoenix Drain (Jean Form) and Psychic Hammer (Phoenix Form) extra Phoenix Force generation reduced to 20%. These two affixes were a bit overtuned and caused them to remove the possibility of using the other spirit spender options.
  • Omega-Level Mutant’s Health on Hit has been removed, and a large portion of it added to Unleash Phoenix’s Health On Hit. Cosmic Avatar’s Spirit On Hit has been removed, and a large portion of it added to Telepathic Detection. This allows both Phoenix and non-Phoenix builds to benefit from these mechanics.
Jean Grey Bug Fixes
  • Powerful Harmony no longer causes a 5s cooldown on Unleash Phoenix.
  • Edge cases of “half-switching” when respec’ing power points (being in Jean form and having Phoenix powers or vice-versa) should now be resolved.
  • Reverted the alternate knockup animation for Crushing Telekinesis to its previous incarnation, fixing the instant snap-to-ground.
  • Phoenix Drain (Phoenix) no longer will gain 30% bonus damage without the player choosing the Cosmic Avatar specialization
  • Telepathic Detection will now clear the Accuracy aura buff when Jean resets her power points. The Accuracy aura will also persist when a new aura from a specialization is applied
  • Phoenix Inferno will now proc on-hit effects
  • Mind Crush will now properly deal bonus damage to Vulnerable targets
  • Psychic Hammer (Jean Form) will no longer benefit from Area items.

"powerfull"
