[EDIT]
There are three instances that I know of, which can cause this error :
(Try Step 3 first)
1)
You let your computer go idle after logging in to the client.
In this case, you can simply restart the client and you won't encounter the error again.
2)
Your anti-virus is fiddling with the client's access.
Turn off your anti-virus temporarily and try running the game. I personally would NOT recommend having your anti-virus off. Try adding TERA.exe and TL.exe to your anti-viruses exception list, so it doesn't go poking it's nose around and blocking TERA's functionality.
3)
The client requires administrative access.
Being a third-party applications, you will sometimes have to force the system to run the client with administrative privileges.
To do so, try this :
- Navigate to the game folder (where you installed the game), find TL.exe and TERA.exe.
- Right-click on the files.
- Select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Checkmark the box that says "Run this program as Administrator".
- Click "Apply" and then click "Okay".
Make sure you do this to both TL.exe and TERA.exe. If this doesn't work, follow the same steps on the TERA icon on your desktop.
Hopefully, this will fix your issue.
