The MDB file is our own proprietary, new, binary model format. I *believe* it is our intention to eventually release the details of this format as well as our own MAX exporter plugin that creates the MDBs.
The LOG file is a debug "spew" file generated by our MAX plugin when exporting an MDB. I dont think we meant for any of them to get included in the data distribution. Oops.
And you are correct, Heed, that the LOG file is not something that can be compiled back into an MDB.
