Hello Everyone!

I’m Mr Squiggly, Player-Vs-Player Content Lead for Auto Assault. Since you all will be able to play in Ground Zero soon, I figured I’d give you all a brief introduction.

Ground Zero is for players of levels 60+, so to start things off, we’re going to make it available on a separate server – I’m not sure what it will be called. Your character will automatically be leveled up to 65, you’ll be given a basic load-out of level 95equipment, and some money. On this server, you will ONLY be allowed access to Ground Zero and a couple of indoor maps attached to it.

There are stores to serve your needs – a starter store in each of the three main bases, and a full complement of stores in the INC Rest Stop, which has three exits to Ground Zero – look on your map to find them.

VERY IMPORTANT - Ground Zero has both PVP and PVE layers. When you first enter, you should be on a PVE layer. That means you won’t see any players of opposing races on the map. You’ll be free to take missions, kill AI, harvest resources, and do whatever you would do on a normal highway.

To switch to the PVP layer, simply go to the pull-down menu below your mini-map, and select Contested Ground Zero. Then click the Go button. INC will transport you to the contested layer, where you will be free to kill and be killed by your fellow players! Except for the addition of other players, the contested layer is almost identical to the PVE layer – you could spend all you time there if you chose to.

The Contested Layer also contains Outposts and Obelisks for you to capture. These are the heart of the PVP experience in Ground Zero. Outposts and obelisks are represented by waypoints on your map. Currently the waypoints all look the same, but we hope to have unique icons for each type. Outposts are the giant military bases, and obelisks are the strange alien-looking devices.

I’ll go into detail about Outposts and Obelisks in my next posts…

Obelisks are the easiest to capture, and we expect lower-level players to focus their attention on these. To capture an obelisk, you must first obtain a K-Wave tuner. Xeno enemies in Ground Zero and the Region 3 highways will drop these when killed. Since region 3 isn’t open - yet! - we’ve decided to make K-wave tuners a little easier to come by while we’re testing it. Each of the three factions’ main bases contains a store (only on the Contested Layer) that sells K-wave tuners. Once you have a K-wave tuner, simply drive through the obelisk and you will capture it. Capturing an obelisk consumes the tuner.

If you capture an obelisk, you (and all nearby allies) will gain experience over intervals of time. The longer you hold an obelisk, the more experience you get. Also, the more obelisks your faction holds, the stronger you outpost defenders become. So, it’s a good idea to control a bunch of obelisks to help with the outpost capture battle! Obelisks will revert to being neutral after about an hour (although timing is subject to change).

Outposts require a little more work to capture. Outposts also require an item for capturing them: an Outpost Override Kit. These are available for sale in the INC rest stop. Look for the exits to the rest stop (there are three). Outposts are defended by turrets (when neutral) or turrets plus infantry (when owned by an enemy faction). To capture an outpost, you must hack the control console, which consumes you OOK, and requires you to be uninterrupted for 15 seconds, so you’ll need to clear out any enemies that might interrupt you.

If you capture an outpost, you (and all nearby allies) will gain experience in bursts if you hold onto the outpost for a long enough. You will also gain Outpost Souvenirs. The amount of souvenirs and experience you get increases dramatically over time, so holding an outpost for a long period of time is definitely worth it. That means you might want to think about defending what you’ve captured. You will be able to cash in Outpost Souvenirs for special rewards, although we don’t have anything implemented yet! Finally, all players in the vicinity of an outpost capture will receive a temporary buff. Each outpost gives out a unique buff, so if you capture many at once, you will have a definite advantage in combat. Outposts will revert to being neutral after about an hour (again, timing is subject to change).
J'ai hate de tester ça, miam
Heu y'a t'il une âme charitable pour traduire le texte SVP

je suis un quiche en anglais, déjà que j'ai du mal a m'en sortir avec le Francais
Merci D'avance
