1. A pet system where one can do a quest to obtain a tamed monster to raise and nurture has been added. A specific NPC will say that for taming, one will be able to semi-permanently manage it. (Hereafter referred to as pet)

2. Through the pet quest, one can obtain a colar and when one needs the pet, just double-click the collar to call it. In the pet's action window, if you choose "Return", then it will return.

3. The pet has its own inventory for use. Items it picks up, equipment it wears and potions it can use can be placed here. The pet's inventory has 12 slots and its weight limit is 1/4 of a human fighter's maximum weight limit. The master can open the inventory windows and drag and drop from the pet's to the master's window to automatically move the items over. Since there is no shortcut for the pet's inventory window, please pay attention to this point.

4. Each pet may equip a weapon to attack with and armor.

5. By assigning a shortcut key to a pet's action, one can conveniently command the pet.

6. When a pet dies, all the items in its inventory drops to the floor. [Translator's notes: this is changed later in Chronicle 1] The experience lost at time of death compared to normal characters is a lot. The owner has priority to picking up the items the pet dropped upon its death for a certain length of time. If a pet dies, after that for 3 minutes, the corpse will remain and during this time if a resurrection scroll or spell is used, then it can be resurrected. If this time expires, then the pet's corpse will disappear and the collar with which the owner uses to summon it, will automatically disappear. That pet will be lost. If, a pet's owner's connection is cut off, the pet stands by in he game for 1 minute and if the master has not reconnected, it returns to the state before it was summoned. If the pet has died and is in a corpse state, if the master teleports, the corpse will also teleport with the master.

7. Pets have a hunger gauge. This gauge continuously decreases. By giving the pet something to eat, the gauge is restored. If this gauge falls below 50%, then the pet's movement speed and attack power are penalized and if it reaches 0% then the pet is automatically dismissed [owner no longer owns it]. To make a pet eat food, the food after being moved to the pet's inventory must be double-clicked on. Just giving the pet food will not make it eat.

8. The pet's alignment [karma] has been changed to match its owners. If the owner is in a chaotic state, the pet will also have a chaotic state. Also, if a pet kills another character, then the pet will give its master a chaotic state. If one kills another person's pet, then an alignment [karma] penalty is applied. If one kills another's pet that is not in a purple state, then one receives 1/4 the amount of [karma] one obtains by killing a regular character. Also, the PK count does not increase.

9. When a character rides the ferry, the pet cannot follow its master and ride the ferry, too. If the owner neglects its pet and rides the ferry, until the pet dies, the owner returns, or it gets hungry enough it runs away [and the owner loses the pet], the pet will wait in its location. Therefore, when wanting to ride the ferry, use the collar to make the pet return first and then ride the ferry.

10. Tamed monsters and summons cannot be called forth at the same time. The exception here is the cubic.

Merci
