Paragon Studios is seeking a veteran Senior Graphics Engineer to contribute to the development of the graphics engine on an exciting new project. We are looking for someone with passion for solving difficult technical problems and working with a team to bring these solutions to life.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the runtime requirements of a contemporary AAA rendering engine, with a good working knowledge of the following areas: Scene graph and render order management; partitioning and culling techniques; lighting and shadowing techniques; animation and skinning systems; effects management (full-screen, particle and shader driven).

They will have an appreciation of the offline pipelines required to realize their work: from point-of-authoring tools, through to target-platform data generation. Comfortable with working at the lowest level of target hardware, our candidate will bring a consideration of performance and memory impacts into their design decisions.

Qualifications / Requirements

* Fluent C/C++ skills.
* 5 years professional game programming experience with at least one quality published title.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* Excellent math and computer graphics background (lighting, animation, skinning, rendering, rasterization, etc.)
* Experience with runtime performance analysis and optimization techniques – from algorithmic and data construct levels, through to CPU, GPU and shader instruction sets.
* Excellent general software design skills, knowledge of algorithms and data structures, software architectures and development methods.
* Familiarity with current techniques in graphics – reading and understanding research papers.
* Very good debugging skills.
* Excellent communication skills and leadership experience.
* Experience with multi-threaded and distributed programming.
* Self-motivated, and able to work with minimal direct supervision.
* A passion for games and graphics in general.

Desired

* Experience with real-time global illumination techniques suitable for dynamic environments.
* Multi-platform experience.

The Senior Tools Engineer should be experienced in large-scale game tools development. Excellent skills in C++ are required, experience in C# desirable. Understanding of platform runtime data requirements and experience with efficient content-developer pipelines is necessary.

Requirements

* B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
* Expert C++ skills (5+ years experience)
* Advanced knowledge of games systems (3D graphics, animation, camera control and lighting)
* Strong math skills, including trigonometry and linear algebra
* Excellent documentation habits including code and how-to guides
* Advanced knowledge of game content creation pipelines and tools
* Smart, driven and adaptable
* Passionate about games and game programming
* High quality standard for personal code
* Basic understanding of algorithms, performance and optimization

Preferred

* Professional C/C++ coding experience
* Expertise in tools creation
* Excellent communication skills, and experience working in a team environment
* History of hobbyist game programming, mod or bot work
* Experience working on MMO’s

Ouip, NCsoft qui dépose la marque City of Heroes 2 (un premier avril ) était jusqu'à présent la seule chose qui permettait de penser que Paragon Studios ne se contentait pas de mettre à jour City of Heroes. 'fin à ma connaissance en tout cas, je n'ai pas d'autres "preuves" tangibles en tête.
