Short and sweet:
Q: While for the most part I think the rearranged zones are working well, I did notice that a previously simple quest now takes me into a great big mass of purple cons from hell.
A: Please appeal these as bugs for the time being - the odds are probably pretty good that we didn't mean to do that. If you can let us know the zone name, quest name, and /loc of the problem, we'll investigate and look into making adjustments.
Q: On your most recent patch, new trophy mobs were implemented, I currently own two of the Albion mobs, but am concerned with getting the gargoyle trophy, Grubthor. Could you inform me as to how to get this mob to spawn? Is there a trigger monster, or maybe a placeholder?
A: Whoops, he was accidentally turned off. There's no placeholder or trigger, but his generator does need to be on

Thanks for letting us know. We've got him working internally, and we will bring this hot fix live early next week. (A hot fix, for anyone new to this channel, is a fix for which we do not need to take down the servers.)
Q: I couldn't seem to find a link to previous grab bags (I could have sworn there was one before) or I'd have searched before asking my question.
My 50 VW has 38 arboreal spec. He is currently 2L5. With his ROG gear, his spec is 38 (+12). He has trained no MoF. The RA documentation says: "Increases the level of all spells cast by the listed amount for out-right resistance purposes. (caps at level 50)" Are his spells considered level 50 or level 38 for resist purposes?
A: You can search the Herald by entering text into the little "search Herald" field in the upper left hand corner of the Herald (for search tips, don't put anything in the box and hit the double carat button), -or- by going to Google, hitting "advanced search," and entering your search parameters in the main search box and then
www.camelotherald.com in the "search domain" field.
And, because that's not really an answer, your Spell and Style Goddess gave me this answer for you: "It’s the level of the spell, not level (or spec level) of the character. For example, if you’re casting a level 34 (or spec 34) spell and you have Mastery of Focus 2 (9 levels), the spell casts as a level 43 spell in terms of resists. Or, put another way, say a Valewalker casts the spell, Nature’s Venom (damage over time). It is a level 35 spell, so depending on what level of Mastery of Focus he has, the bonus is added to the spell level.
"Mastery of Focus 1 (3 levels): Casts as a level 38 spell, for outright resistance purposes.
"Mastery of Focus 2 (9 levels): Casts as a level 44 spell, for outright resistance purposes
"The bonus is capped at 50, so with Mastery of Focus 3-5, he can cast that spell as if it for a level 50 spell, for outright resistance purposes."
Q: Any chance of more information about the new titles?
A: What we posted in the notes is all we're releasing for now, because there's a sizable number of players who actually enjoy being surprised. Mind you, we've learned the "fun" way that people like being surprised by loot and titles, not game mechanics, so don't extrapolate this answer out too far. But as far as this one little thing goes, I won't put the full "X kills equals Y title" chart up until players have had a chance to discover them. At the rate some of our more bloodthirsty players like to kill, I expect I'll be able to post that chart before I have to break out the sunscreen.

I know it's short this week - the last few days were a little chaotic for the company. (Skip this next part if you don't care about behind the scenes stuff.) We just finished moving everyone around into new spaces. Those of you who have been with us since the original beta may remember that I was the 34th employee to be hired. We're a pretty big company now (over 170), and we grew like a tree grows, all branches and roots everywhere. People were seated wherever there was an open desk, which wasn't always with the people with whom they worked most closely. The company wide move was a huge PITA, but it was worth it in the end - all the teams are finally sitting together. For instance, Community Missy *was* sitting at the other end of the building from me, and now she's close enough for me to shoot my catapult at her. No, really, I have a catapult. It throws teeny plastic cats. Hey, we may be big, but this is still a game company.
If you happened to be watching the Fox station in Central Pennsylvania the other day, you saw Kwip and Kwipette from
http://www.neenerneener.net playing Dark Age of Camelot! Now I'm going to go thank them, by marching (well, more like sauntering) down the Lancaster MS Walk on Sunday. If you're a local and you want to join us, check in is at noon at the Quality Inn at 2263 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. The Walk starts at 1 PM. And, if you're wondering, the weather will be sunny and 73 degrees. We call that "a sign," people, so come on out.
Speaking of joining a terrific party in the making, don't forget that the Camelot Roundtable is in two weeks! Great prizes, great times, and as always, you'll pick the winners of the costume and movie prizes.
I'll see you all next week. Have a great weekend!
