2. Why will the donations go to The Icelandic Red Cross?
As CCP is an Icelandic company, The Icelandic Red Cross is our local charity of choice in this matter. Most of their web site is in Icelandic but they maintain an English web page although it is not directly related to this donation effort.
The Icelandic Red Cross has through local donation efforts raised close to one million dollars and the funds raise by the EVE Community will come as a good addition to that.
Your donation will go undivided to the Icelandic Red Cross and the Icelandic Red Cross also guarantees that 100% of donations will go directly to the relief effors. The donation will be delivered as a single payment and will be done in the name of the EVE community and not in the name of CCP.
3. Can I follow the collection efforts?
Yes, CCP will maintain a special page where players can track the efforts of the donation. There we will show the amount collected and number of donations. The page can be found here:
https://secure.eve-online.com/tsunamiTracking.asp
4. When will the collection stop?
Based on response from the EVE community and interest in this project we plan to keep the collection open throughout January.
5. I wish to donate through other ways, where can I go?
Google maintains a very good list of other ways to donate, please refer to that page for other options.
