Paladin Team Leader Report 1.62
The following is a list of issues and bugs that the Paladin Community believes needs to be addressed.
1 Chants Line
Issue 1:
The pulsing Icon for our Refresh Chant does not coincide with the pulsing Icons of our other chants. Meaning it has no pulsing Icon.
Solution:
Please Add a pulsing Icon to display at the top of the screen when Heal chant is running.
Issue 2:
The range on our Endurance chant is inconsistent with our other chant ranges.
Solution:
Increase the radius of the Endurance Chants to 1500 to coincide with the other chant ranges.
Issue 3:
Our combined resist chants Soul Ward, Soul Shield, Elemental Ward, Elemental Shield drain significant power. Currently they are not widely used because the cost in power does not justify the benefits of these chants.
Solution:
Decrease the power use of these resist chants by 50%
Issue 4:
Players will turn down a resurrect (10% hits) from a Paladin in hopes of getting a better resurrect, from a cleric or friar. This effectively negates a unique ability of the paladin, the ability to resurrect.
Solution:
Add two new higher Level Resurrection Spells in the Chants Line. The following are borrowed from the Cleric Rejuvenation Line.
Level: 40 Raise Fallen Corpse 4.0 Rng: 1500 10% p / 30% hp Variable
Level: 50 Reincarnate Corpse 4.0 Rng: 1500 25% p / 50% hp Variable
Not only will this fix the resurrection problem, this will give Paladins Chants line a LVL 50 Chant and complete the Chants line.
Issue 5:
The Paladin Taunt spell is on a 30-second timer. This slows down pulling.
Solution:
Reduce the recast timer down to 15-seconds.
2 Realm Abilities
Issue 1:
Paladins are a hybrid tank, however they have no access to the following hybrid tank Realm Ability.
Serenity
Solution:
Provide Paladins with this realm ability. We believe this is valid for the following reasons:
We are the only Hybrids who do not have access to Serenity. Access to this would aid us in regenerating power for resurrecting people.
Issue 2:
Paladins request access to the following Tank Realm Abilities:
Determination
With Determination, we believe our unique situation in the Hybrid world, were we alone out off all the other Hybrids, meaning Thanes, Champions, Reavers, are dependant on our melee skill in the same way Armsmen and Mercenaries are, warrants access to this RA. Unless we can get to our opponents, and engage them with our melee weapons, we can not kill or harm our opponents. Also unlike other Hybrids such as Wardens, Friars, Skalds, and Minstrels, who can stand back, and heal, or CC. Our Chants line is not powerful enough to stand back and twist them and have such positive as to warrant us standing back and not pressing into the thick of battle shoulder to shoulder with our Armsmen and Mercenary brothers.
Solution:
We request the RA Determination at a cost of: 1 3 6 10 14
Issue 3:
Paladins are at a disadvantage to other fighter classes when purchasing Purge and Ignore pain.
Solution:
For the reasoning stated for the previous issue, a cost of 6 for Purge, and a cost of 10 for Ignore Pain should be granted to Paladins. While not as low as that of Main Tanks or Light tanks, this would still go along ways for improving things for Paladins.
Issue 4:
Paladins request access to the following RA due to the Paladin being the only Resurrection able class who does not have access to it:
Mystic Crystal Lore
Solution:
Provide Paladins with this realm ability. We believe this is valid for the following reasons
As a resurrecting class this RA will allow us to regenerate power after battles to assist in resurrecting our realm mates, and will reduce down time on epic encounters.
3 General Issues:
Issue 1:
The Paladin class faces many issues that result in lower melee damage then our other hybrid counterparts.
STR is a tertiary stat, both of the other hybrids, meaning Thanes and Champions, have STR as a primary Stat and in and thus have higher base STR, in addition to this they also have self STR, or STR/CON buffs to aid them.
Solution:
A 10% increase in paladin damage, done in the same manner as was done for Warriors, be granted to compensate for the above issue.
4 Generic Issues
Issue 1:
Two hand styles need a boost.
Solution:
The LVL 50 Two-Hand Style be given a boost. Currently it is not only our last Style, it is third in a chain. We propose its Low to Hit Bonus be bumped to a Med To Hit Bonus. And that its High Damage Bonus be bumped to a Very High Damage Bonus as the Two-Hand line has no Very High Damage Bonus Styles.
