As Jessica mentioned earlier today, we have decided to only rework the Sage for August. The other classes are delayed until October. We need all the time we can get to work on the Hero Skills.
We have prepared a very rough idea of what we are thinking about for the Sage for August. This is not set in stone. This is so that you are on something of the same page as us, and can give feedback. A couple of notes: the vigor restoration power of the Sage has been reduced dramatically, though we will also be doing vigor-cost reductions to many classes in August, so the relative power of the Sage vigor heals is not lowered as dramatically as it seems.
When the new Sage is in a support role he is intended to stay out of combat, and has a very powerful out-of-combat vigor regenerator to keep his vigor high. The new Sage can NOT use his own vigor heal on himself. Similarly, the group vigor heal does not heal the Sage -- only everybody else.
The new Sage still has an offensive branch, even a slightly improved offensive branch, although we have made sure to make this branch completely optional. I know most of the Sages who frequent our boards hate the idea of combat skills, but we don't believe the idea has been given a fair chance and we need to try it out in game before calling it a doomed idea.
All names of new skills are TBD (to be determined); the names in the tree are just placeholders.
