"encore"
"encore"
"mdr lolilo encore encore encore"
et en PS: mon duo de races favorite inc bientôt! (nan mais font chier Mythic, tous à dire que c'est magnifique, que c'est le plus beau duo,..... soit c'est du bon marketing, soit alors: NEEEEED!!!)
Folks,
Thanks so much for the support and understanding that you have expressed so far. In some ways it was a really easy decision to make while at the same time, a very difficult one. Mythic's track record of being on-time with its releases, while admirable, had to take a backseat to our desire to make a really great game. I've said before that if Mythic had more time/money back in the DAoC days, we would have spent some additional time and resources on the game's development. Now, faced with the same decision and in very different circumstances as part of EA, we made a very different call. I have no doubt that it was the right call to make and I'm very glad that we have the support of the the WAR community.
Thanks as well for your comments on what you have seen in the newsletter. The team has come through as I knew they could and what you have seen so far barely scratches the surface of what these guys and gals have been creating here at Mythic. And the best part is that we still have plenty of time to make it even better.
FYI, over the last two days we hosted Alan Merrett from GW and showed him all the new stuff we've been working on. I think the best way to sum up the trip was a little exchange we had when he got to do something very special in the game....
Alan: Again
<Alan does it again....>
Alan M: Again
<Alan repeats the action>
Alan M <laughing>: Again
<Alan repeats the action another time>
Alan M <laughing even more>: Again!
It was a total moment of joy for him, myself, Paul and the other Mythic guys in the room. Nothing like a satisfied customer, especially when they own the IP. It's safe to say that he was overjoyed with everything he saw and left to return to GW with a big smile on his face. Who knows, maybe he was just glad to leave the craziness of the Mythic offices or maybe, just maybe, he really liked what he saw...
At the end of the day what matters most is that all of us remain committed to making WAR a great MMORPG. Whether it is GW, EA/Mythic or the community, we all want the same thing and that is for WAR to a runaway hit. And if its not, well, running away will be involved but that will be from all the heavily armed fans who will be heating the tar, plucking the feathers and cutting down the telephone pole in front of our offices all while asking us to come out for a little friendly chat....
Mark
P.S. My favorite pairing is coming up next, I can't wait....
