This patch is primarily intended to finish off some of the lingering problems with Albion/Hibernian classes. This includes fixes both ways, i.e. improvements and balances. Also, contained within this patch is a significant change to the melee system as well as archers, we hope you enjoy.


-Purge cost for all classes has been reduced to 6 rsps

Hibernia Changes

Bard Changes

-Amnesia on bards is now a cast spell as opposed to a shout, the cast time is 2.0 seconds.
-Bards now receive a single target root spell in the Bard Music spec line; this is to put Bards on par with the other primary CC classes of the other realms. Previously, Bards were lacking a second form of CC other than Mesmerization placing them below Sorcerers and Healers as a primary CC class. This new single target root is intended to remedy that situation while not overpowering the Bard.

45 Pacifying Melodies

-Bards may now purchase the Dodger Realm Ability.

Blademaster Changes

-Triple wield timer reduced to 10 minutes.
-Removed Flurry.

Druid Changes

-Hunter's Attack line is now baseline as opposed to spec.
-Removed AE root shout line Bursting Undergrowth.
-Added new instant PBAE root on 2 minute timer to the Druid's Nature spec.

7 Grasping Vines
15 Strangling Thorns
23 Entangling Undergrowth
34 Grasping Creepers
44 Strangle Vines

-Added baseline pet constitution buff to Druid Nature line.

15 Vigor of the Lynx
25 Vigor of the Oak
35 Vigor of Nature
45 Vigor of the Wild

Eldritch Changes

-Lesser Mana Ripple line now has a cast time of 2.5 seconds.
-Added new 10% cold debuff DD to Void spec.

4 Scintillating Void
8 Shivering Void
12 Piercing Void
16 Freezing Void
22 Darkened Eclipse
29 Shivering Eclipse
38 Piercing Eclipse
48 Freezing Eclipse

Enchanter Changes

-Debuffs moved to Enchantment Mastery spec
-Added Snare DD to Mana line (Energy Resist).

33 Energy Tempest

Hero Changes

-Spirit of the Hunt recast timer reduced to 20 minutes.
-Razorback timer reduced to 5 minutes, and increased damage output
-44 spear style Dragon Talon has the side-positional pre-req. changed to front-position

Champion Changes

-reduced endurance cost for Valor line shouts
-slight increase to debuff values

Mentalist Changes

-Added group Heal over Time spell to Mind Mastery spec.

-Added Energy Debuff DD to Mind Mastery spec (Note: This debuff DD is stronger than other debuff DDs).

Warden Changes

-Wardens may now purchase both the Mastery of Parrying and Mastery of Blocking Realm Abilities.
-Wardens may now spec Shield, no further spec points are awarded however.

Valewalkers Changes

-Increased Weaponskill for Valewalkers.

Style Changes

Celtic Dual

-Celtic Dual growth rates increased slightly.
-Ice Storm pre-requisite is now Use behind Target.
-Tornado pre-requisite is now You Evade.
-Twin Star bonus damage increased to High.

Realm Ability Changes

-Group Purge: When Group Purge is used it now actives an immunity timer for CC spells presently active on those affected. However, all immunity timers from previous CC are reset.

Example:
Target currently has root immunity timer and is mesmerized. Group Purge is activated, the target now has mesmerize immunity but the root immunity is reset.

-Group Purge cost reduced to 10 RSPs.

-Brilliant Aura of Deflection cost reduced to 10 RSPs.

Archer Changes

All archers will receive the following abilities in their respective Bow specialization lines.

30 Pierce Magic- 5% chance to pierce bladeturn.

50 Pierce Magic II - 15% chance to pierce bladeturn.

30 Pierce Armor - 5% chance to treat Scale, Chain, or Plate as leather armor.

50 Pierce Armor II - 10% chance to treat Scale, Chain, or Plate as leather armor.

50 Pierce Shield I - 5% chance to negate a shield block and have the hit register as normal.

Order of Calculation: Pierce Magic, Pierce Shield, Pierce Armor.

Albion Changes

Cleric Changes

-reduced the mesmerize shout timer to 2 minutes
-we’ve introduced a root spell to the smite line, in hopes of making the line more appealing to players. The root spell is single target at a 2s cast time, this is to put the cleric on par with the other primary healing classes utilities.

45 – Blessed Grip

Friar Changes

-removed the parry pre-requisite for the 50 staff style Excommunicate

Wizard Changes

-gtaoe will now be adjusted by wizard’s int, acuity buffs, or relic bonuses
-added a new stun to the fire specialization, similar to the base one that Hibernian casters receive: single target, 2.5s cast time, heat damage

26 – Spiritual Flash
36 - Feeblemind
46 – Mind Blank

Advanced Specialization Changes:

We’ve removed the long over due advanced specialization changes. Previously, you would have to spec in your advanced weapon skill (two-handed/polearm), and a base damage type which would increase styled damage with the associated damage type. We feel this was unfair, seeing as all the other realms received bonuses and various damage types with just one spec and maintained a higher defence / spell line. You will now receive all of the assorted damage types (crush/slash/thrust) in one spec, in both the two-handed and polearm lines. This should allow the tanks to deal enough damage, maintain a good defence, and accommodate for the higher to-hit styles opposing realms receive.

Armsman Changes:

-armsman are now able to train in flexible weapons
-fixed the soldiers barricade realm ability, it will now offer a fixed value of 400 af, and reduced timer to 20 minutes
-the crossbow line has been changed, which will allow the user to move with a loaded crossbow for a short duration of time, however, while moving fumble rates have been greatly increased. This ability is active, and is on a 5 minute timer. To take advantage of this new system you have to train in crossbow to receive the following benefits:

13 – Assault, 10 second duration, 55% chance to fumble
24 – Hollister, 20 second duration, 45% chance to fumble
35 – Hainault, 30 second duration, 30% chance to fumble

Paladin Changes:

-removed the “double heal” bug
-taunt timer reduced to 20 seconds
-fixed Faith Healing realm ability bug, the heal will now properly heal 100%
-chants have been re-evaluated and made to-scale with RvR, the following changes will take place:

42 Chant of Perseverance – added a 10 second recast timer, and added the graphic for SI
45 Archangel’s Refreshment – increased value of heal to 90 hp
46 Greater Battle Zeal – increased value to 11 dps
48 Crusader’s Mantle – increased value to 150 af

Please note: twisting will still be possible at the loss of endurance.

-added a new “morph ability” to the chant line, which will boost str/con/dex for a short duration of time. The new form will only be a yellow glow around the paladin, due to the lazy people at the art department. The recast time will be 30 minutes, and will last for a duration of 30 seconds.

Mercenary Changes:

-reduced dirty tricks timer to 5 minutes
-added evade 2

Reaver Changes:

-reavers can now train in the two-handed line

Necromancer Changes:

-at lv50 the necromancer can summon a Greater Domination with slightly higher stats, that will con “yellow” to level 50 players
-heals on the shade will be redirected to the controlled pet


Next up are certain balancing tweaks for Midgard. To avoid rumors from circulating we will be examining certain imbalancing factors such as Left Axe as well as evaluating the drawback versus benefits of Berserker Frenzy. We will also be evaluating Realm Abilities in such a way that all Realm Abilities for all classes will be attractive. We appreciate your feedback on the poll and we intend to concentrate on fixing imbalances before new content, thank you for playing Dark Age of Camelot!
