en parlant de rats docdoom a fait un tres beau speech tres encourageant pour l'avenir de l'armée francaise et je me fait peut etre du cinéma mais je sent des relents francophobe la dedans
sur ce thread Posts: 6418 posted Wed, Apr 30 12:39pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No, there is no French aircraft that can compete with the Axis, or even the British, fighters, at all, until the H-81 arrives and that was an AMERICAN fighter the French bought. If we modeled ANY French fighter for the early period (and there were ZERO French fighters produced for any period to follow, as France was occupied by Germany until the Allies invaded in 1944 and freed her) ... all you would have is even slower and poorer performing aircraft than the D.520, which was the best French fighter of WWII. Same for their tanks. Other than "fantasy" developments of existing designs, which never saw production or combat, you have the best Tanks that France produced already. There is NOTHING better to draw from as time goes by. We are PROBABLY going to model the Bre.693 but I fear it will make no differance. It just isn't superior in any way, not in speed, firepower or manouevrability. But it IS French. After that, it will be lend lease all the way for the French, because when you talk about "fun" you actually mean "can compete" and they only way they'll compete with their Allied neighbours, let alone the Axis forces, is using lend lease (American and British) equipment. Those two countries had a vested interest in France, and were continuing to develop new weapons and designs as the war went on, something that France was not doing. France was, as far as Europe is concerned, not even in the war as an industrial weapons manufacturing participant after their surrender in 1940. Even Frances forces elsewhere, like Nth.Africa, continued to use D.520's and H-75's for the most part (this an airforce example) along with what they could get from other countries. France was not producing any FRENCH equipment for the war effort after 1940.
